A player. A purpose.

The next touch.
The next decision.
That’s where we work.

A first touch. A change of direction. Knowing when to pass. NextGen puts the individual at the centre of the session, with purposeful work on the details that shape their game.

The NextGen method

Technique means more
when you know what it is for.

01 / Coaching focus

Control
the ball.

First touch and ball control create time for what happens next.

02 / Coaching focus

Read
the moment.

See the options. Connect your pass to the space and movement around you.

03 / Coaching focus

Play
with purpose.

Take the detail into the game. Repeat it. Build the confidence to use it.

The person behind the practice

A coach. A player.
A shared focus.

Jesse Hendricks founded NextGen in 2017. As founder and head coach, he keeps the focus on individual development: the touch, the movement and the decision that a player can work on next.

A few practical things

Before
you start.

All your questions
Where do sessions take place?

Training can take place at a home with suitable space, an estate five-a-side court or a nearby facility. Share your area so the academy can discuss a suitable venue and availability.

What ages can enquire?

Enquire for players from age three. Tell us the player’s age group so the coach can confirm suitability and the right starting point.

Do I need to know my programme?

No. Choose “Help me choose” in the enquiry. Share a little about the player and the academy can recommend a suitable stage.

How long is a session?

Sessions are planned around a one-hour format. Ask the academy about current training times, availability and age-appropriate arrangements.
